Hand raised using traditional techniques

Hand raised Whisky cups

Raising of a bowl in silver begins with a flat disc. This disc is initially sunk into a hollowed log then raised over steel stakes with a raising hammer. The piece is annealed  after each round, to soften the metal after work hardening. It is finally carefully planished to give it a neat surface, and polished.
